The FDX 2.0 and FDX 3.0 are similar in design. Both use the “X” frame design. They use the same seat, frame and internals. The only difference is the desktop and optional desk extender.

The FDX 2.0 has our original desktop. It has a non-slip surface and features a sliding drawer for storage which can hold small items like pens, pencils, phone, etc. A desk extension kit is available that provides a cup holder on the right side and an area to use a mouse.

The FDX 3.0 features our second-generation desktop. It has the non-slip surface, a fold up tablet holder, and a storage compartment under the tablet holder. The optional desk extender on the 3.0 has the cup holder on the left side and a wide area to use a mouse. The extender on the 3.0 makes the desk as a flat surface where the 2.0 extension is raised.

The 4010 is a semi-recumbent style bike and offers a different seat and a larger backrest  than the 2.0 and 3.0. It uses the same desktop as the FDX 3.0 with the optional extension kit. It does not include the resistance bands.  The desktop raises and slides forward/back for more adjustment than the 2.0 and 3.0 versions.

All of our desk bikes and under desk products use the same meter.

The FDX 2.0 and FDX 3.0 have a weight limit of 300 lbs. The 4010 has a weight limit of 250 lbs.

The FDX 2.0 and FDX 3.0 has a height range from 4’10” to 6’ 6”. An optional seat height extender comes with the units for those 5’9” and taller.  The 4010 has a height range from 5’ to 6’6”. This is what’s been tested but leg length and body proportion does play a factor in the min and max heights.

If the pedals aren’t completely tightened to the crank arm, over time it will strip out the crank arm and will need replacing. To prevent this from happening, make sure the pedal is tight on the crank arm. We do have replacement parts available. A special crank removal tool is needed to replace the arm.

The FDX 2.0 and FDX 3.0 have a folded dimension of 58” (h) x 20.5” (w) x 26” (d). The 4010 is 63” (h) x 20” (w) x 38” (d).

Please apply a light amount of All-purpose grease or Vaseline (petroleum jelly) on black metal plate where wheels under pedals travel. We also recommend spraying silicone where the front of the pedal pivots on shaft.

No, our under desk products are designed to use while sitting only.

The meter will automatically turn on once you start pedaling and will go to sleep once you stop. Our meter comes in either Meter or Kilometers. If you have an “M” in the corner under distance, yours reads in Miles. If you have a “K” listed under distance, your meter reads in Kilometers. There isn't a way to change this from KM to M or vice versa. If you have more questions, reach out to us at customerservice@thefitdesk.com
